Raman spectra from graphites of the Bohemian Massif Raman Spektren von Grafiten des Böhmischen Massivs Rantitsch, Gerd Schuberth, Gerald Lower Austria Upper Austria Czech Republic Graphite thermometry Bohemian Massif micro-structural order Bavaria Moldanubian nappes Bavarian unit :550 This data publication provides Raman spectra collected from 87 graphite and metasediment samples from 37 locations of the Bohemian Massif (Austria, Czech Republic, Germany), including the methodical metadata. The samples derive from abandoned mines, field outcrops, and collections of GeoSphere Austria and the Natural History Museum Vienna. The data set describes the micro-structural state of the investigated carbonaceous material, which is dependent on the metamorphic grade of the host rocks. Consequently, the data set assesses also the metamorphic pattern of the covered study area. A subset of this data publication was already published to describe the thermometrical approach. It is applied on the provided data set and presented in this publication. This data publication enables the use of spectral data from an economically important and critical commodity from locations which are nowadays hardly or even not accessible for further research. Diese Datenpublikation enthält Raman-Spektren von 87 Graphit- und Metasedimentproben aus 37 Lokalitäten des Böhmischen Massivs (Österreich, Tschechische Republik, Deutschland), einschließlich der methodischen Metadaten. Die Proben stammen aus stillgelegten Bergwerken, Feldaufschlüssen und Sammlungen von GeoSphere Austria und dem Naturhistorischen Museum Wien. Der Datensatz beschreibt den mikrostrukturellen Zustand des untersuchten kohlenstoffhaltigen Materials, der vom metamorphen Grad der Wirtsgesteine abhängig ist. Folglich bewertet der Datensatz auch das metamorphe Muster des untersuchten Gebiets. Eine Teilmenge dieses Datensatzes wurde bereits veröffentlicht, um den thermometrischen Ansatz zu beschreiben. Er wird auf den vorliegenden Datensatz angewandt und in dieser Veröffentlichung vorgestellt. Diese Datenveröffentlichung ermöglicht die Nutzung von Spektraldaten eines wirtschaftlich wichtigen und kritischen Rohstoffs von Standorten, die heute für weitere Forschungen kaum oder gar nicht zugänglich sind.
